DEEPAM LAMP

Lamps come in different forms, shapes and sizes, each with their own significances.

  • The lamp has a peacock with his tail feathers on full display
  • Hindu lamps are known as deepams and are lit for all festivals and pujas
  • The deepam is made of multiple pieces and must be assembled upon arrival

Lamps are lit during daily puja and all Hindu festivals. The light from the lamp symbolizes the absence of darkness, grief and sorrows and indicates inside knowledge, awareness and enlightenment. By lighting the deepam the grace of the godhead will spread all over the house, temple or meditation room.
